Yes, Gaara can still use sand. The sand he controls have very little to do with the demon within him. Remember the sand is considered to be his mother’s will. With Shukaku gone he’ll no longer be able to take on his form or use his tail/arms while attacking. It was also never mentioned that Gaara, like Naruto used his demon for chakra… So who really knows how much weaker Gaara really will be. I remember Gaara getting weak from his lack of chakra and couldn’t fight(clearly not reliant of Shukaku)… One thing that might be odd is Gaara’s insomnia… technically he’ll be able to sleep now… meaning he should lose his raccoon eyes…

On a different note… Here’s something I really don’t understand; I think it’s an error in the series…..

Kisame Hoshigaki notes that the demons must be sealed in a specific order, as he states that sealing the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox before the other eight beasts would destroy the statue.

Gaara’s demon Shukaku, the one-tailed beast should of been the first victim of the statue… but it said he was the third…. Correct? I remember deidara saying something like the other jinchūriki they got the demons from didn’t have people come after them, infact people were happy to be rid of them….

I used to dislike Rock Lee… Now, I kinda like him. I don’t like him as much as my Sand ninja, but he makes me smile every now and then. Might just be because Gaara likes him… Anyway, sexyrocklee you forgot Sabaku no Gaara, Sabaku no Kankurou, and Sabaku no Temari. They’re worth mentioning, they’re returning characters that are really around just as much as weak Ten Ten and fatty Akimichi Chouji. Don’t forget Sabaku no Temari is a blond. I’m really looking forward to seeing them fight and how they’ve improved. If they fight at all. I haven’t read any manga forever… After seeing sasori’s fight I’m really wondering if Sabaku no Kankurou has gotten to that level or improved to control more then two puppets.

On my last note… episode 8 of Shippuuden wasn’t working for me lol, and aparently Kankuro fought Saori lol.

He was no match for Sasori. Lol.
